Crain’s Chicago Business announces Vitality 2024 Best Places to Work

Share:

CHICAGO— Sept. 12, 2024 – Vitality Group has been named one of Crain’s 2024 Best Places to Work in Chicago.

“We actively seek and act on feedback from our team, clients, and members to foster a culture of health that drives positive behavior change within our organization and beyond,” said Maia Surmava, Chief Executive Officer, Vitality U.S. “This recognition is a testament to the exceptional experience that our employees have at Vitality.”

The awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the 100 best companies to work for in Chicago. In partnership with Workforce Research Group, Crain’s surveyed thousands of employees and their employers on the working conditions, benefits and corporate culture that make a company a great place to work. Winners were determined by the results of Workforce Research Group’s weighted surveys. To be considered for participation, companies had to:

  • have at least 25 full- or part-time permanent employees working in (or reporting to a manager in) the Chicago area, including the counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will in Illinois and Lake in Indiana.
  • have a physical operation in the Chicago area.
  • be a publicly or privately held business, either for-profit or nonprofit, or a government organization.
  • have been in business for at least one year at the program registration deadline.

Determining the Best Places to Work in Chicago involved a two-step process. The first consisted of evaluating each company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation. The second consisted of employee surveys to assess their experiences and attitudes. This part was worth approximately 80% of the total evaluation. Workforce Research Group managed the registration and survey process and analyzed the data, using its expertise to determine the final ranking.
